Cover the table, set good lighting, keep water and a paper towel nearby. Lightly iron the canvas on low (no steam) or tape it flat to a board.

Organize paints & match numbers
Open one color at a time to prevent drying. If thick, add a drop of water and mix. Keep lids closed when not in use.

Start smart
Work from top-to-bottom (or left-to-right if right-handed) to avoid smudges. Many painters begin with the background or darker areas for easy progress.

Use the right brush for the area
Small brush for tiny cells; larger brush for big areas. Glide the tipādonāt press or splay bristles. Cover numbers fully; add a second coat after drying if needed.

Rinse & dry between colors
Swirl in water, wipe on a towel until clean, then paint the next color. A barely damp brush gives cleaner edges.

Let sections dry
Acrylic dries fastāabout 10ā20 minutes depending on thickness. Touch up gaps or streaks once dry.

Store in-progress work
Close paint pots firmly; wipe rims so they reseal. Keep paints upright and the canvas flat.

Finish & frame
After 24 hours, optionally seal with a clear acrylic varnish (matte or gloss). Then frame and enjoy!
Pro tips
If a paint is too thick, add a single drop of water and mix. If too thin, use two light coats.
Mist closed paint pots lightly with water if youāre painting for a long session to slow drying.
For tiny areas, a toothpick or fine liner brush can help hit small corners cleanly.
Use daylight or a neutral white lamp so colors look true.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one (24 colours) and completed it in only 4 days (part time). Love the creamy paint that covers numbers with 1 coat. I'm a big fan of PBN's with little to no light colours, so this one was perfect for me. Have already ordered 2 more.

Only point of improvement is the opacity of the reds. Needs quite a few layers which can be frustrating.
I love the way this turned out. The colors are vibrant and as true to the original picture as DMC colors could match. I have two more to go to finish this set, already thinking about what else to create. The entire process from start to finish was smooth, the kit was packaged well, the canvas had clear symbols and I never had to worry about running out of a color.

I am in process of collecting and completing similarly-themed diamond art and this one is the second of 3 of have come across. Though it is originally offered in blue, I opted for a purple suit. I love it!!! Once framed, I canāt wait to display it with the others. I am very happy!
This is a customized version of an existing painting. I love the ability to adjust to just what I want. It came out beautifully and I couldn't be happier with it. Great quality paints and production. Really enjoyed painting it.
Iām midway through my custom Paintly kit. I used the AI tool to generate a Christmas scene that looks like my cat and home. Iāve done other paint by number kits off Amazon so I appreciate that this canvas didnāt come creased due to folding. The paints are nice quality and soak into the canvas well. Most of the colors cover the numbers fairly well, but the lighter tones seem to need more coats over the number or it still shows through. I do recommend buying a better set of paintbrushes to get the best results.
8x8 size is nice but the numbers are so small and squished together it was hard to paint even with a lit magnifying glass. I know I missed a few color spots because of the size. Still it turned out ok.
The numbers and colors were easy to follow, they included a paper version which will be helpful as I go back and redefine the nose where I blended a bit much. Was my first one but I am going to frame for my mom as its her favorite picture of my father who we lost last year.
The drills fit nicely together; the stickiness is perfect.
BIUT the labeling on the drill bags was terrible. I had to check off each bag because the DMC numbers were not legible. Using black stamps on dark colors makes no sense.
It took forever to get kitted up. I am working on the lighthouse and still have the other two to do.
I will be ordering more. Just fix the labeling on the drill bags.
I love the artwork and the drills are almost perfect. The reason I didnāt give this 4 or 5 stars is because of the printed symbols. The symbols are very faint, especially the 2ās and 4ās, making it very difficult to see. Iāve had to use my phone camera several times to zoom in on the symbols, and even then I have to guess at times. Also, I was missing a color from the set, but the company was prompt shipping the missing drills.
Almost done! I've bought kits from a few different companies and Paintly has the best paint, best canvas, and in my opinion - the best art. I want to try a 80 color painting next.
