Why does it say "up to" 150 colors?
This is our special high-color diamond painting collection. For these designs we use as many colors as we can, up to 150, so you get more detail and richer shading.
Some designs use all 150 colors. Others don't need quite that many and use a little less, usually somewhere between 100 and 150. It depends on the picture.
Either way, you're getting the most colorful version of this design we can make. More colors means more detail and a more lifelike finish.

How to Diamond Paint
-
1
Set up your workspaceFind a flat, well-lit surface. Lay the canvas out and keep it flat — don't peel the protective film off all at once.
-
2
Read the color legendMatch each symbol on the canvas to its drill color using the reference chart. Sort your drill bags so you can find colors quickly.
-
3
Peel a small section of filmOnly expose a small area at a time — the adhesive stays tacky longer and dust won't settle on uncovered sections.
-
4
Load the applicator penPress the pen tip into the wax pad. Pour one drill color into the grooved tray and shake gently so drills sit right-side-up.
-
5
Place drills on the canvasPick up a drill with the pen and press it onto the matching symbol on the canvas. Work one color at a time for speed — or section by section for variety.
-
6
Press drills down to sealOnce a section is complete, lay a flat object (book or rolling pin) over it and press gently. This locks drills firmly into the adhesive.
-
7
Store between sessionsRe-cover exposed areas with the protective film or parchment paper. Seal leftover drills back into their bags to keep organized.
-
8
Seal & frame your masterpieceOnce finished, seal with a clear craft sealant to lock drills permanently. Frame it and show off your sparkle!
Pro tips
- Re-dip the pen in wax every 10–15 drills — fresh wax gives a stronger pick-up.
- Use the multi-placer pen tip for large single-color areas to speed things up.
- Tweezers are perfect for nudging a misplaced drill without disturbing neighbors.
- Work under a daylight lamp so drill colors match the legend accurately.
- If the adhesive loses tack, dab a tiny amount of craft glue on the spot before placing the drill.
